Create a timeline. You definitely need to set a date for when your fundraiser event will be held, a date for when you will begin setting up.
Choose where your event will be held. This needs to be done in advance especially if you’re having it outside of your home and relative’s home. If your event will be in another location you will have to get permission. This may take awhile.
Choose your entertainment. You don’t have to have any entertainment but it is good to attract people. It doesn’t have to be lavish; you can just simply have a DJ.
Let everyone know what you’re doing. Now it’s time to publicize it. Tell family and friends and they can spread the word to people they know too. You can put out an ad in your local newspaper and put flyers in coffee shops and restaurants if it’s okay with the owners.
Get whatever food and refreshments you’ll need. Make sure all the food is prepared well.
