Sponsoring a car wash -- either one done by students or joining forces with a local car awash facility is a time tested way to successful raise funds for your schools.
But don't just wash cars to raise cash -- look for ways to extend what you offer to generate even more funding.
Examples: How about a dog wash too? Or offer more extensive car detailing for an additional donation. Or interior vacuuming or cleaning.
Another option: Don't wait until spring and good weather to offer such activities. Areas that suffer tough winter weather, and the accompanying snow and salt that come with it, might do great with a mid-winter car wash event too.
